POSITIVELY NEGATIVE - Next
Steps Training, The Cangle Junction
Over the
past three years Multi@rts has formed a strong partnership with the Cangle
Junction (a residential and educational centre for young people based in Haverhill)
and the Next Steps training scheme based there.
'Positively Negative' was a digital self portrait project exploring self image,
identity and personal aspirations.
The portraits produced were exhibited in the Haverhill Arts Centre Gallery and as part of the MESH event.
“It
was brilliant to see Next Steppers making such creative use of technology.
They were all really proud of the results!
Having the work exhibited was a great boost for self-confidence. Although
computers are not everyone's chosen way of working our residents seem to take
the work with multi@rts with great ease. It's a language they understand!”
